Looking at this series in terms of presentation, I wanted to line up the canvas so that the death toll increases as you walk along the line, it shows a vast increase of deaths from start to end. I never intended on focusing on the shock factor alone, but the sheer amount of death took me by surprise and made me question natures intentions.

DISASTER, 2011.

The objective of Disaster is to make the viewer bring there own experiences to the piece, to project their memories onto the work instead of me telling them what to think. This will allow the viewer to interpret it as their own. By incorporating the depiction of the victims reaching up for help, it becomes suggestive of the last bit of hope for survival.
